Replacement of Mechanical Parts
Program Switch P. C. Board
(GT75B Series mode! only)
1. Replacement of Belt
(1) Remove two screws marked “@” and “©”
as shown in Figure 1 and remove the flywheel
mounting bracket.
(2) Remove one screw “©” and motor pulley cover
as shown in Figure 1.
(3) Clean a good belt with alcohol and thread the belt
as shown in Figure 2. Assembly the unit,
performing above steps in reverse order.
(4) Confirm the tape speed and wow//flutter with the
test tape (MTT-111).
2. Replacement of Motor
(1) Remove two screws marked “A”

(2) Remove two belts (A) and (B) as shown in
Figure 2.
(3) Remove wire leads from the motor terminal and
the motor will be removed.

3. Replacement of Flywheel
(1) Remove the flywheel mounting bracket and the
belt (A) as shown in Figure 2.
(2) Remove the flywheel by moving it straight up.
(3) Mount a good flywheel. (In this case also insert
the flywheel washer and apply a drop of “ mobile
1” oil.)
(4) Mount the belt and the flywheel mounting bracket.
(5) After assembling, confirm the tape speed and wow-
flutter, using a test tape (MTT-111).
Notes :
1. Take care the belt is not stained with oil.
2. When tightening screws for the flywheel bracket,
apply tightening torque of 4.5kg*cm (marked “© ”)
and 2.5kg*cm (marked “ @”).
(GT75B Series model only)
When tightening screws for the flywheel bracket,
apply tightening torque of 6kg+*cm (marked “© ”)
and 2.3kg*cm (marked “ @”)
(On GT75L010 /“ GT75L110 /“ GT75L220 4
GT75L020 / GT75L02N /GT75L120 / GT75L12N
models only)
4. Replacement of Reels
(1) Remove two flywheels.
(2) Remove two lock washers as shown in Figure 3
and the two reels will be removed.
(3) Replace with good reels and assembly them using
above steps in reverse order.
(4) After assembling, confirm the tape speed and wow-
flutter using a test tape (MTT-111).
