Limited Warranty Information

from the highest quality materials. In the event that we have not achieved our usual standard of

Water Damage
Alpine products are not manufactured to withstand extreme temperatures. Improper
storage that allows water to freeze within a product may cause damage and is considered
negligence and will, therefore not be covered under this warranty. The use of “hard water”
and/or caustic cleaners can affect the paint or other finishes. Failure to keep the unit clean,
and use of such additives/cleaners, will also void the warranty. Please note: for fountains,
it is normal for some splashing to occur and protecting the immediate surfaces is not the
responsibility of Alpine Corporation.
Paint & Color (Retention and/or Loss)
The use of water will cause natural erosion to the color. This area can be touched up
using standard paint. The paint is designed to protect the entire finish against breakdown
of color. As with any product, all finishes with time will gradually fade and discolor. The
warranty will only cover against severe or complete fading within the first year from date of
purchase with the above exclusion.
Procedure/Service

purchased the product. If that is not an option, you can contact Alpine Corporation at
www.alpine4u.com. When contacting Alpine Corporation, you must be prepared to show
proof of purchase, provide photographs and any other information needed to validate your
claim. This may be necessary to distinguish between a partial or complete replacement of
a defective product. The warranty does not cover any items with multiple parts; the
warranty will ONLY cover the individual component of the unit/item that may be defective.
Replacement parts can be made available to a consumer through the original selling party,
or an approved parts retailer. If this is not an option, contact our customer service
department. Item is covered under one year limited warranty from the date of purchase.
When requesting replacement parts due to a warranty claim after 30 days of purchase,
credit card information will be requested for shipping charges.
Not Covered Under Warranty

1. Damages caused in Transit
2. Inadequate care and/or neglect
3. Environmental and/or natural elements

freezing water damage, hard water damage, failure to keep the unit clean and free of harmful
additives such as bleach, chlorine, etc…. which affects the paint and/or parts. This warranty also

Overview

This document describes the Alpine WIN558 3 Tier Rainforest Fountain with LED Lights, a decorative water feature designed for outdoor use.

Function Description

The Alpine WIN558 is a three-tiered rainforest-themed fountain that circulates water and features integrated LED lights. It is designed to create a soothing ambiance with the sound of flowing water and visual appeal, suitable for gardens, patios, or other outdoor spaces. The fountain operates by pumping water from a basin through a series of tiers, creating a cascading effect, and the LED lights illuminate the water flow, particularly in low-light conditions.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Model Number: WIN558
  • Product Type: 3 Tier Rainforest Fountain with LED Lights
  • Pump: Submersible Pump (replacement part # PAD1500)
  • Power: Includes a transformer for the LED light strand and a pump for water circulation.
  • Water Capacity: The manual references Alpine cleaning formulas for small-sized fountains holding up to 7 liters of water (PPL100) and larger-sized fountains holding over 7 liters of water (PPL102), suggesting the fountain's capacity falls within or around these ranges.
  • Patent: Protected by U.S. Patent # D672,844.

Usage Features

Assembly:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully unpack all components and ensure all parts are present.
  2. Pump Connection: Connect the vinyl tubing to the water pump located in the fountain's bottom piece.
  3. Flow Control: Adjust the pump's flow control to the lowest setting to minimize splashing during initial assembly.
  4. LED Lights: Connect the LED light strand to the transformer.
  5. Water Filling: Gently pour water into the fountain, ensuring the pump is completely submerged and the water runs clear. Avoid overfilling to prevent splashing.
  6. Power Connection: Plug the transformer and pump into a local power supply. Ensure the power source is in a dry place and no water is around the transformer.
  7. Initial Operation: The pump may take up to 5 minutes to expel air and begin proper water flow.
  8. Water Type: Distilled water is recommended to prevent scale build-up.

Troubleshooting:

  • Pump Fails to Run:
    • Check the circuit breaker or try a different outlet.
    • Inspect pump discharge and tubing for kinks or obstructions.
    • Flush any buildup with a garden hose.
    • Remove the front cover and plate to access the impeller area; check if the rotor is jammed or broken.
  • Pump "Spews":
    • Check the water level; ensure the pump is completely submerged and there is sufficient water in the basin. Insufficient water causes spewing.
  • Abnormal Loud Noises:
    • Disconnect the pump from power.
    • Remove the front cover and plate.
    • Gently pull out the impeller/rotor assembly.
    • Rinse the impeller/rotor assembly and clean the cavity with clean water. Contact the retailer if breakage is found.

Cautions:

  • Always unplug the pump before cleaning or handling.
  • Use only clean water; do not place the fountain or parts in other liquids.
  • Do not operate with water above 90°F (32°C) or 30°C (86°F).
  • Do not lift, carry, or pull the pump by its power cord.
  • Do not exceed the maximum voltage and wattage on the transformer.
  • NEVER let the pump run dry.
  • Some splashing is normal; protecting immediate surfaces is not the responsibility of Alpine Corporation.
  • Improper storage allowing water to freeze can cause damage and is considered negligence, voiding the warranty.
  • "Hard water" and caustic cleaners can affect paint and finishes. Failure to keep the unit clean and use appropriate additives/cleaners will void the warranty.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

  • Regular Cleaning: Periodically change water and clean the pump to prevent micro-organisms.
  • Scale Prevention: Alpine recommends using its all-natural cleansing formulas to eliminate foam, lime scale, calcium buildup, fight mineral deposits, keep water crystal clear, prevent staining, remove organic contaminants, and treat discolored water. These formulas also help prevent pump damage from hard water.
    • PPL100: For small fountains (up to 7 liters).
    • PPL102: For larger fountains (over 7 liters).
    • More information available at www.alpine4u.com.

Storage:

  • Disconnect and store the unit in a dry place when not in use for an extended period.

  • Proof of Purchase: A valid proof of purchase with a clearly indicated date is required.
  • Photos: Photos of defective merchandise are required to help distinguish the cause of the defect.
  • Paint & Color: Natural erosion of color due to water is expected and can be touched up. The warranty covers severe or complete fading within the first year, excluding natural erosion.
  • Partial Replacement: The warranty covers only the individual defective component, not items with multiple parts as a whole.
  • Shipping Charges: For replacement parts requested after 30 days of purchase, credit card information will be requested for shipping charges.
  • Warranty Exclusions (Not Covered):
    • Damages caused in transit.
    • Inadequate care and/or neglect.
