Requirements for
restraining
Any appliance that is not furnished with a power supply cord must be installed
with a restraining device (tether). Adequate means must be provided to limit the
movement of this oven without depending on or transmitting stress to the
electrical conduit. The following requirements apply:
▪ The appliance must be installed with the use of a tether secured to the building
structure.
▪ Each of the stacked appliance must be installed with the use of a tether secured
to the building structure. A single wall anchor may be used.
Equipotential-
bonding terminal
Result The oven is now installed and ready to be used.
