Why is my Amana Coil Ranges food not broiling properly?
    • A
      Alyssa HallJul 29, 2025
If food is not broiling properly or smokes excessively in your Amana Ranges, check the oven rack positions and ensure the broil element was preheated. Avoid incorrect use of aluminum foil and ensure the oven door is not closed during broiling. Trim excess fat from meat before broiling and avoid using a soiled broiler pan. Low voltage in your house can also affect broiling.

      Joshua WillisAug 3, 2025
If your Amana Ranges oven will not self-clean, first ensure the cycle isn't set for a delayed start. Check that the door is closed and the control is not in Sabbath Mode. Also, the oven may not start a self-clean cycle if it is over 400°F.

      Robert BellAug 13, 2025
A strong odor or light smoke when your Amana Ranges oven is turned on is normal for a new range. Initiating a clean cycle will burn off the odors more quickly. Turning on a ventilation fan will help remove the smoke and/or odor. Also, check for excessive food soils on the oven bottom.
