Why is my Amana Washer vibrating or off-balance?

To reduce vibration or off-balance issues with your Amana Washer, ensure the front and rear feet are firmly in contact with the floor and that the washer is level. Check the floor for flexing or sagging; if uneven, placing a 3/4" (19 mm) piece of plywood underneath can help. Also, distribute dry garments evenly around the basket wall in loose heaps. Avoid adding wet garments or extra water, as this can cause imbalance. For oversized items like comforters, use the Normal Regular cycle and select Large Load Size. Do not tightly pack the washer and avoid washing single garments. Washing smaller loads also helps to reduce imbalance.
