Overview

This document provides a comprehensive quick start guide for setting up and using the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, along with instructions for the Celect Communications App.

Function Description:

The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is a streaming media device that plugs into your TV's HDMI port, allowing you to access a wide range of streaming services, apps, and digital content. It transforms any compatible TV into a smart TV, providing access to entertainment, news, and more. The device is controlled by a dedicated remote with voice search capabilities, and it integrates with Amazon's ecosystem for content and account management. The Celect Communications App, a streaming TV service, is designed to work seamlessly with the Fire TV Stick, offering exclusive content to Celect subscribers.

Usage Features:

Initial Setup:

  1. Unboxing and Connection: Begin by checking the Fire TV Stick packet for the Fire TV Stick, Power Adapter, Remote, HDMI Extender, and Power Cord.
  2. Powering the Device: Plug the USB power cord into the micro-USB port of the Fire TV Stick, then connect the other end of the power cord to the Power Adapter. Connect the Power Adapter to a power outlet. It is recommended to use the Power Adapter instead of powered USB ports.
  3. Connecting to TV: Plug the Fire TV Stick into any HDMI port on your TV. For easier access, you can use the HDMI Extender by plugging the Fire TV Stick into the extender, then plugging the extender into the TV's HDMI port.
  4. Selecting HDMI Input: Using your TV remote, switch your TV to the corresponding HDMI channel where the Fire TV Stick is plugged in (e.g., HDMI1, HDMI3). A loading screen with a Fire TV Stick logo should appear.
  5. Remote Setup: Insert batteries into the Fire TV Remote. The remote should automatically pair with the Fire TV Stick. If it doesn't pair, press and hold the Home Button for up to 10 seconds to activate "discovery mode" for pairing.
  6. Language Selection: Once the remote is paired, press the Play/Pause button to start the setup. Use the Directional Ring on the remote to highlight your desired language and press the OK button to confirm.

Network and Account Setup:

  1. WiFi Connection: The Fire TV Stick will scan for available WiFi networks. Use the Directional Ring to choose your WiFi network, enter your SSID and password (if required), and connect.
  2. Saving WiFi Passwords: After registration, you'll be asked if you want to save your WiFi password to your Amazon account. This allows other compatible Amazon devices to connect quickly to your WiFi network. Use the Directional Ring to highlight your choice and press OK.
  3. Amazon Account Registration: If you have an Amazon account, highlight "I already have an account" and press OK. If you're new to Amazon, highlight "I am new to Amazon" and press OK. The Fire TV Stick will then register.
  4. Parental Controls: You have the option to enable Parental Controls, which require a PIN for playing Amazon Video content, launching apps, purchasing digital content, or using the Amazon shopping app. Use the Directional Ring to highlight your selection and press OK.

Adding Streaming Apps:

  1. Streaming Services: You can add various streaming services to your Fire TV Stick. While all apps are free to add, some may require payment for full content access. You can install them later if desired. Highlight your selection and press OK.

Using the Celect Communications App:

Installation and Login:

  1. Searching for the App: On the Fire TV Remote, press the Home button. Use the Directional Ring to highlight the search magnifying glass and press OK.

  1. Program Guide: Once the app is open, you will see a Program Guide, which offers several ways to find channels and programming.
  2. Entering Channel Numbers: If you know the channel number, from the Program Guide, press and hold OK. Use the Directional Ring to highlight and press OK for each number. After entering, highlight "Next" and press OK.

  2. Watching a Recording: Recordings can be viewed from the "Recordings" or "Search" screen options. Select "Recordings" from the Tab Bar to open the "Recordings" screen. Scroll through the list, highlight the program, and press Play/Pause to start watching. If there are multiple recordings, highlight the desired one.
  3. Current Recordings: To watch or delete current recordings, go to the Tab Bar and select "Recordings." Scroll up or down, highlight the program, and press Play/Pause to watch. A checked red circle indicates an unwatched program, while a red play button indicates a partially watched program. To delete, highlight "Delete" and confirm.
  4. Future Recordings: From the "Recordings" screen, press the center of your remote twice, and from the dropdown, choose "Future Recording." Scroll through the list, highlight a program, and press the center of your remote to open a Recording Options screen. Highlight "Edit" and press the center of your remote to adjust Start and End Recording times.
