Overview

The ANLU APW-VAP-130P is a high-pressure cleaner designed for various cleaning tasks, offering a balance of power, safety, and user-friendly features. This appliance is intended for use with cold water only and is suitable for washing and cleaning cars, bikes, and other outdoor equipment or garden patios and greenhouses.

Function Description:

The APW-VAP-130P functions by generating a high-pressure water jet to effectively remove dirt and grime from surfaces. The motor operates only when the trigger on the spray gun is squeezed, which helps conserve energy and prevent overheating. The unit includes an adjustable spray nozzle, allowing users to switch between fan-shaped spray for broader coverage and linear spray for more concentrated cleaning. It also features a low/high pressure adjustable lance, enabling the user to select the appropriate pressure for different cleaning needs. Detergent can be added to a dedicated container and sprayed at low pressure for enhanced cleaning.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: APW-VAS-130P
  • Working Pressure: 13 MPa (130 bar)
  • Working Flow Rate: 7.5 l/min
  • Max. Pressure Water Supply: 0.4 MPa (4 bar)
  • Motor Capacity: 2.7 kW
  • Power Supply Voltage: 220-240V/50Hz
  • Max Water Temperature: 50 °C
  • Weight: 25 kgs
  • Dimensions (CM): 100 x 39 x 42

Usage Features:

The high-pressure cleaner is designed with several features to enhance usability and safety:

  • Adjustable Spray Nozzle: The spray nozzle can be adjusted by turning its front part clockwise for fan-shaped spray (low pressure) or counter-clockwise for linear spray (high pressure). This allows for versatile cleaning applications.
  • Low/High Pressure Adjustable Lance: To use high pressure, ensure the trigger is released and no water is spraying, then turn the rear part of the spray nozzle counter-clockwise. Squeeze the trigger to activate high-pressure water. For low pressure, with the trigger released, turn the rear part of the spray nozzle clockwise. Squeezing the trigger will then provide low-pressure water. The selection of pressure must be done with the gun in a closed position.
  • Detergent Application: The unit allows for the addition of detergent to a container. By setting the Adjustable Spray Wand to the low-pressure position, detergent can be sprayed through the trigger gun.
  • Hose Reel Handle: The hose reel handle can be turned down for use and turned up for storage. To raise the handle, pull it out and then turn it up.
  • Safety Lock: The spray gun is equipped with a safety lock to prevent accidental activation when the machine is not in use.
  • Portability: The inclusion of wheels makes the unit easy to move around.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of the APW-VAP-130P:

  • Water Inlet Screen Inspection: The water inlet filter should be inspected regularly to prevent blockages and restrictions in the water supply to the pump.
  • Nozzle Cleaning: A cleaning pin (or an unfolded paper clip) can be used to clear debris from the nozzle hole. Additional debris can be removed by back-flushing water through the nozzle using a garden hose for 30-60 seconds.
  • Long-Term Storage: When storing the machine for extended periods, especially in a frost-free environment, it is recommended to turn off and disconnect the power supply. If the machine has been stored without operation for a long time, scales might form inside, making it hard to start. In such cases, rotate the motor by hand several times to avoid excessive current draw on the motor and power supply.
  • General Cleaning: All surfaces of the unit should be wiped with a damp clean cloth.
  • Depressurization: Before disconnecting the garden hose or high-pressure discharge hose, the system must be depressurized. This is done by turning off the motor, turning off the water supply, and squeezing the trigger 2-3 times.

Safety Regulations and Warnings:

The manual emphasizes several critical safety warnings:

  • Operating Temperature: The appliance is intended for use at temperatures above 0 degrees Celsius.
  • Pre-Operation Checks: Always read all instructions before use. Before each use, pressure must be released by triggering the wand before starting the washer.
  • Supervision: Close supervision is necessary when the product is used near children. High-pressure cleaners should not be used by children or untrained persons.
  • Controls Familiarity: Users must know how to stop the product and bleed pressures quickly, and be thoroughly familiar with the controls.
  • Operator Condition: Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and do not operate the product when fatigued or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Operating Area: Keep the operating area clear of all persons.
  • Stability: Do not overreach or stand on unstable support; maintain good footing and balance at all times.
  • Grounding: The product must be grounded. The plug must be connected to a properly installed and grounded outlet in accordance with local codes and ordinances. The appliance's rating voltage must comply with the local power supply.
  • Extension Cords: Use only 3-wire, 3-prong grounding-type extension cords intended for outdoor use, with watertight construction, and an electrical rating not less than the product's rating. Do not use damaged cords.
  • Electrical Connections: Do not start or run the machine in rain or storm. Keep all connections dry and off the ground. Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
  • Unattended Operation: Do not run the machine for more than 3 minutes without depressing the pressure wand trigger, as this can cause heat damage to the motor and pumps. Do not leave the machine running unattended or unused for more than 3 minutes.
  • Water Supply: Maintain a constant water supply when the machine is running; lack of water circulation will damage the sealing rings.
  • Spray Lance Activation: Turn on the spray lance within one or two minutes after starting the machine to prevent circulating water temperature from rising to a critical point and damaging sealing rings.
  • Freezing Conditions: Do not start or run the machine in excessively cold places to prevent freezing.
  • Chemicals: Use only cleaning water and cleaning agents supplied or recommended by the manufacturer. Do not use corrosive chemicals.
  • Personal Safety: Do not use the appliance within the range of persons unless they wear protective clothing. High-pressure jets can be dangerous if misused; do not direct the jet at persons, live electrical equipment, the appliance itself, or tire walls.
  • Maintenance Disconnection: Disconnect from the electrical power supply before carrying out user maintenance.
  • Spare Parts: Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer or approved by the manufacturer. Do not use the machine if damaged parts are present.
  • Hoses and Fittings: Use only manufacturer-recommended high-pressure hoses, fittings, and couplings.
  • Damaged Parts: Do not use the appliance if the supply cord or important parts (safety devices, high-pressure hoses, trigger gun) are damaged.
  • Recoil: Be aware of the recoil caused by the water jet when the machine is switched on.
  • Waste Disposal: Electrical appliances should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. Use separate collection facilities. Contact local government for information on available collection systems. Retailers are legally obligated to take back old appliances for disposal free of charge when new ones are purchased.
  • Children and Persons with Reduced Capabilities: The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
