TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Cause Action
The heat pump will
not start.
1. No power supply. 1. Check the power supply.
2. The fuse has tripped, or a switch has
switched o.
2. Check if the circuit is broken or if the motor windings are short
circuited or have an earth fault. Replace the fuse/reset switch and
check if the fault reoccurs.
3. A safety function has tripped. 3. Rectify the fault and start the heat pump.
4. Loose connections. 4. Check and reset the connections.
5. Defective compressor. 5. Replace compressor.
The fan does not
start.
1. Connection fault on fan motor. 1. Check and reset the connections.
2. Defective fan motor. 2. Replace fan motor.
Low heating output. 1. Evaporator ns contaminated. 1. Clean the evaporator ns.
2. Air inlet blocked. 2. Remove blockage.
3. Not enough refrigerant. 3. Check and rectify any leakage. Empty all the refrigerant and ll
with correct volume.
Water pump is
noisy, or no water
ow from water
pump.
1. Not enough water in the system. 1. Not enough water in the system.
2. Air in the water system. 2. Air in the water system.
3. The valves in the water system are not
completely open.
3. The valves in the water system are not completely open.
4. Water lter dirty or blocked. 4. Water lter dirty or blocked.
Compressor
produces too high
outlet pressure.
1. Too much refrigerant. 1. Empty all the refrigerant and ll with correct volume.
2. Air in the refrigerant system. 2. Empty all the refrigerant and ll with correct volume.
3. Too little water ow. 3. Check the water ow in the system. Replace with a more
powerful pump, if necessary, to increase the water ow.
4. Water temperature too high. 4. Check that the water temperature sensor gives the correct
temperature.
Inlet pressure for
compressor too low.
1. Drier lter blocked. 1. Replace lter.
2. The electronically controlled expansion
valve has not opened.
2. Repair or replace.
3. Refrigerant leak. 3. Check and rectify any leakage. Empty all the refrigerant and ll
with correct volume.
The heat pump
does not defrost
properly.
1. Defective battery temperature sensor. 1. Check the position and value of the battery temperature sensor.
Replace, if necessary.
2. Air inlet/outlet blocked. 2. Remove blockage. Clean the evaporator ns regularly.
The heat pump will
not run.
• When the heat pump is restarted the safety function for the
compressor starts the compressor after a 3-minute delay.
• Check that the switch has switched o and that the control
unit is supplied with power.
• Contact qualied personnel if problems persist.
Low capacity. • Check whether the outdoor unit’s air inlet/outlet is blocked.
• Check that the set point temperature is not too high in
cooling mode or too low in heating mode.
• Contact qualied personnel if problems persist.
