8. Return dry chemical tank valve handles to the operating posi-
tion:
BLUE Hose Clean-Out Valve. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Closed
BLACK Dry Chemical Valve . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Open
9. Insert ring pins through handles into brackets and seal with
visual inspection seals (Part No. 15999).
10. Return AFFF solution tank valve handles to the operating posi-
tion:
BLUE Hose Clean-Out Valve. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Closed
BLACK AFFF Valve . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Open
11. Insert ring pins through handles into brackets and seal with
visual inspection seals (Part No. 15999).
12. Inspect hose by completing the following steps:
a. Pull out all hose and check for abrasions, cuts, or weather
checking.
b. Examine nozzle openings for obstructions and operate
nozzle triggers to check valves for free movement.
c. Make certain hose couplings are tight and examine for
mechanical damage or corrosion.
d. Make certain nozzle triggers are forward in the closed posi-
tion.
e. Coil hose on support (see coil instructions in Recharge sec-
tion step 10).
f. Secure nozzle to holder.
g. Insert ring pin through nozzle holder and seal with visual
inspection seal (Part No. 15999).
h. Record date of maintenance examination and notify oper-
ating personnel that system is back in service.
