C) PROTECTION DISPLAYS :
7) & 9) Each output incorporates a protection circuitry which simulates the temperature of the voice-coil
and the excursion of the cone. This information is used to drive a limiter which prevents the
signal reach a dangerous value.
Clipping of the amps being recognized as a major cause of destruction of speakers, a level
detector prevents too high signals to reach the output. A set of 3 LED's is used to indicate that
operational parameters are exceeded and that the limiter is acting.
D) CALIBRATION OF ANTI-CLIP PROTECTION:
8) This potentiometer is used to calibrate the anti-clip protection of the SUB amp. The slot must be
oriented in regard of the figure corresponding to your amp's specifications.
10) This potentiometer is used to calibrate the anti-clip protection of the main amps. The slot must
be oriented in regard of the figure corresponding to your amp's specifications.
NB:
amplifiers provide this gain as standard.
Warning: Excessive gain may result in speaker damage.
In particular, bridged amps exhibit a gain 6db higher than standard.
When using bridged amps it is necessary to use one of the following process:
Use the button normal/bridge situated on the rear panel
Modify the amp's gain structure,
Use a 6 db input attenuator,
Turn the amp's potentiometer down 6 dB
