Summary

Using JAM with an iPad

Connect JAM and Guitar

Plug JAM into iPad using the dock cable and connect your guitar to the 1/4" input.

Check JAM Status Light

Verify the JAM status light: Blue (connected, not ready), Green (ready), Red (gain too high).

Start GarageBand Session

Launch GarageBand, choose New Song, and select Guitar Amp.

Monitor and Record Track

Turn monitor ON, connect headphones, and click the Record button to start recording.

Using JAM with a Mac

Connect JAM and Guitar

Plug JAM into Mac using the USB cable and connect your guitar to the 1/4" input.

Check JAM Status Light

Verify the JAM status light: Blue (connected, not ready), Green (ready), Red (gain too high).

Start GarageBand Project

Launch GarageBand, create Electric Guitar project, name and save it.

Configure Audio Settings

Set JAM as Audio Input and Built-In Output in GarageBand Preferences > Audio/Midi.

Monitor and Record Track

Enable monitoring, connect headphones, and click the Record button to start recording.
