An annual selVice checkup, particularly for disk drives, is a good
idea. Your authorized Apple dealer can dean and adjust your disk
drives. You might also consider the AppleCare«l program; see
Appendix B, "Guide to SCrvice and Support," for details.
Also
keep these tips in mind:
• Keep your computer and peripheral devices dry. Don'l hang or
water plants over it, or kcep ~verages or other liquids near the
computer.
• Dust and dirt can cause problems. Keep your work area clean.
\X'hen leaving the computer for extcnded periods, cover il.
Although a clean cloth is line, you might prefcr dust covers for
your computer and peripheral devices.

Avoid exposing the Apple lie to rain, snow, or long periods of
direct sunlight.
• Read all the installation instructions
and warnings carefully.
• Keep these instructions handy.
