Introduction
Now
that
we have looked
at
the Mac computer system, we
are ready
to
set up the physical components
or
hardware. To
start
with we will assume
that
you
have purchased a basic
Mac
system. We will, therefore, discuss the optional units, the
second disk drive
and
the numeric key pad, only in minor
detail.
Assembly
of
the
Mac
requires only a
few
minutes. Even
the first time computer user can easily assemble the system.
It
is
nearly impossible
to
improperly connect the cables on the Mac.
Most
plugs fit only in their appropriate sockets.
The
owner
should, however, be careful not
to
drop
any
of
the Mac's parts.
Although they are designed
to
be quite durable, they will not
tolerate excessive abuse. Be especially careful
of
the main
system console.
The
CRT
display located inside the console
will explode if it
is
broken.
