Function Description:
The primary function of the Aprilaire Air Cleaner is to filter airborne contaminants from the air circulating through a home's heating and air conditioning system. It operates by drawing air through a high-efficiency media filter. The efficiency of the Aprilaire Air Cleaner actually increases with use, meaning it becomes more effective at removing pollutants over time.
The device is effective only when air is circulated through it. The blower of the heating/air conditioning system performs the air movement function. Continuous air cleaning can be achieved by setting the thermostat for continuous air circulation. Alternatively, for periodic cleaning, the blower can be manually set to operate for desired time periods, especially during and for several hours after activities that stir up dust, such as vacuuming. - Lifetime Limited Warranty: The Aprilaire High Efficiency Air Cleaner comes with a lifetime limited warranty against defects in workmanship or materials for the product's lifetime, excluding the disposable media and inner housing seals. Research Products Corporation's obligation is to supply, without charge, a replacement for any defective part returned to them with the installation date. This warranty does not cover labor costs or defects in workmanship or materials furnished by the installer. The warranty also excludes liability for incidental or consequential damages.
