Overview

The WJL-6000 is an advanced refrigerant leak detector designed for easy operation, stable function, and a compact appearance, making it an ideal and economical halogen leak detector.

Function Description

The WJL-6000 is used to detect refrigerant gas leaks. When switched on, it emits a continuous, slow beep, indicating normal operation. Upon detecting a refrigerant gas leak, the device will emit a rapid beep, and the indicator light will flash quickly. The device features an automatic-circuit function that adjusts to changes in halogen gas concentration in the environment, helping to avoid false alarms. For optimal performance, it is recommended to move the device to an open-air environment, restart it, and adjust sensitivity to the maximum level if false alarms persist.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Operating Temperature: 0 °C - 52 °C
  • Maximum Sensitivity: 6 gr/yr, for all halogenated refrigerants
  • Battery Life: Approximately 50 hours of normal use
  • Response Time: Instant
  • Work Mode: Continuous, no limitations
  • Fixed Probe Length: 20 cm
  • Dimension: 22.9 x 6.5 x 6.5 mm
  • Warm-up Time: 6 seconds approximately
  • Power Supply: 4 x 1.5V DC AAA batteries (not included)

Usage Features

The WJL-6000 is designed for straightforward use:

  1. Power On/Off and Sensitivity Adjustment: Rotate the knob to power the unit on or off. A continuous beep tone indicates normal functioning. The power indicator light helps monitor the battery voltage level.
  2. Warm-up: After switching on, wait for approximately 6 seconds for the unit to warm up.
  3. Sensitivity Adjustment: The sensitivity can be adjusted at any time during operation without interrupting detection. If a leak is difficult to find, increasing the sensitivity is recommended.
  4. Leak Detection: Hold the flexible probe to the area suspected of leaking. When a refrigerant leak is detected, the buzzer will beep at a higher frequency, and the light indicator will flash quickly.
  5. Battery Status: The forepart light on the panel indicates both leak detection and battery voltage. A green light signifies normal battery voltage, while a red light indicates that the battery voltage is approaching the lower threshold and replacement is needed.
  6. Structure Components: The device consists of a sensing tip, flexible probe, indicator light, buzzer, power on/off and sensitivity adjusting faucet, battery compartment, and shell.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of the WJL-6000:

  • Sensing Tip Cleaning: Keep the sensing tip clean from dust, moisture, and grease. If dirty, immerse the tip in a mild solvent like alcohol for several seconds, then dry it with compressed air or a towel.
  • Cleaning Restrictions: Do not use solvents such as gasoline, turpentine, or mineral spirits to clean the product.
  • Battery Management: Remove batteries when the device is not used for extended periods.
  • Environmental Precautions:
    • Do not submerge the product in water.
    • Do not expose the product to temperatures exceeding 60°C.
    • Avoid leaving the product in direct sunlight for long periods.
  • Repair and Disassembly: Do not dismantle or attempt repairs without authorization.
  • Sensing Tip Replacement: Turn the tool off before replacing the sensing tip to avoid mild electric shock.
