Please open the package carefully, and check if there’s any damaged
or missing part.

Please wash your new VS-1.5 and SHARK 1.0 pump with ONLY
warm water and sponge before assembly. Pull out the inside plate
to wash the main body. Never clean acrylic with alcohol-based
products. Use caution when handling acrylic scratches easily.

Install the diffuser onto the pump, and tighten the screw under the
diffuser. ( DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN)
Connect the air hose to the pump.

Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully open the package and check for any damaged or missing parts.

Component Washing

Wash the skimmer and pump with warm water and a sponge. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners.

Diffuser and Pump Assembly

Install the diffuser onto the pump, tighten the screw, and connect the air hose.

Skimmer Assembly Steps

Install Inlet and Pump

Attach the inlet without water intake to the pump and place the pump into the main body.

Install Internal Components

Install the inside plate and secure it with the top screw.

Connect Inlet and Outlet Tubes

Install the O-ring onto the short tube and connect it with the inlet tube and outlet tube.

Skimmer Placement and Startup

Select Suitable Placement

Ensure water level is below 4" from the rim, intake is submerged, and skimmer is parallel.

Startup Procedure

Fill with water, prime the pump, plug in, and connect the air hose to the silencer.

Break-in Period

Skimmer reaches optimal performance in 2-4 weeks. Adjust collection cup position.
