5. Electrical connection
All electrical connections should be performed by a quali ed expert only!
Make sure all parts are free of tension before doing any maintenance work or electrical work.
The supply circuit has to be protected with a fault current contactor with a nominal fault current of
I
N
30 mA. The local standards and regulations at the site of the unit must be observed.
Please make sure that the electrical installation has a disconnecting device, which allows disconnection
from the power supply with a minimum of 3 mm contact gap at each pole. In accordance with norm
requirements an electrical cable type H05RN-F or H07RN-F must be used. Please ensure that the diameter
of the electrical cable used adequately accommodates for the power of the motor and the length of the
cable.
Always ensure that three-phase current machines with a 400 V connection have a right-hand eld of
rotation. The fan will run with a left-hand eld of rotation but the compressor will not start.
Power supply characteristic:
230 V ± 10 %, single-phase current, 50 Hz or 400 V ± 10 %, three-phase current, 50 Hz (corresponding
to the latest model), mains form TT and TN.S. The thermal heat pump must be connected to potential
equalisation.
Minimum fuse:
The fuse must be at least 16 A C (model-dependent) and is intended exclusively for protecting the pump.
The fuse must have the “slow-blow”/C characteristic. Automatic fuses with a B characteristic cause
malfunctions and will void the warranty.
The thermal heat pump is equipped with a ow switch which applies voltage to the board when there is a
suf cient ow of water.
A 3-pole automatic fuse must be used for three-phase current machines. Three single fuses can destroy the
machine and the warranty will be voided.
!
Socket connection
Make sure that the plug is plugged into the socket correctly. Malfunctions
could otherwise occur. Phase L1, neutral conductor and PE conductor must
be connected as illustrated.

Preparing the electrical connection
The side panel must be pulled down to make the
electrical connection. The screws must be undone
for this.
