6. Initial start-up
All the parameters of the thermal heat pump were set at the factory and a trial run was conducted. The
standard water temperature is 27 °C. No other values must be set.
The system should be commissioned in the spring. The outdoor temperature and the temperature of the
pool water should not be below +10 °C. This applies, above all, for machines which were left outdoors over
the winter. Malfunctions could otherwise occur.
The fi lter pump should be run for 20 minutes before switching on for the fi rst time. This vents the system
completely; close the bypass as well if necessary. The system can be switched on when there is suffi cient
fl ow.
nFL may be displayed the fi rst time it is switched on. This means that the fl ow switch has triggered. nFL is
not a fault but an indication. The system must then be checked for suffi cient fl ow and air, sometimes the
input/output sides are switched.
When the machine is running, a stable pressure of about 20 kg/cm should set after approx. 15 minutes at
20 °C outdoor temperature and 20 °C pool temperature. The values can be smaller at lower temperatures.
If the cold pressure is disproportionally high, this can be reduced by closing the bypass valve. The pressure
should always be in the green on the scale.
7. Maintenance
The pump must be disconnected from the mains before carrying out maintenance work. Close any shut-off
fi ttings.
8. Repairs
Repair are only be done by an authorized service center.
9. Recommendations
Make sure that the unit can be supervised so that children do not play around with it.
Wintering
The thermal heat pump must be switched off and uninstalled at the beginning of the frost period. We
recommend you to keep the unit in a dry, frost-free room over the winter to prolong its life.
If the thermal heat pump is left outdoors over the winter months, make sure that no water is left in the
machine because frost could otherwise damage the heat exchanger. You dealer will certainly be willing to
help you to take the system out of operation. Special protective covers are available for keeping the thermal
heat pump over the winter.
