The ARGO DELUXE Single Split Air Conditioners-R32 are designed to provide efficient cooling and heating for various indoor environments. This series includes both indoor and outdoor units, with models such as ARGO DELUXE 9000 UI/UE, 12000 UI/UE, 18000 UI/UE, and 24000 UI/UE. The units utilize R32 refrigerant, a fluorinated greenhouse gas with a global warming potential (GWP) of 675.
The air conditioners offer multiple operating modes: AUTO (automatic), COOL (cooling), DRY (dehumidification), HEAT (heating), and FAN (ventilation). Users can select the desired mode using the remote control. In AUTO mode, the unit automatically adjusts its operation based on the ambient temperature. For cooling, the default set temperature is 20 °C, and the unit operates in cooling mode if the ambient temperature exceeds this. Below 20 °C, it only ventilates. In heating mode, the default set temperature is 25 °C, and the unit starts heating if the room temperature is below this.
The remote control allows for precise temperature adjustment between 16 °C and 32 °C, with 0.5 h increments for timer settings. Fan speed can be selected from Low, Mid, High, Turbo, or Auto in COOL or HEAT modes. In FAN mode, fan speed options are Low, Mid, and High. DRY mode does not allow for fan speed selection.
Special functions accessible via the MENU button include ECO, SLEEP, and SILENCE. The ECO function, available in COOL mode, operates with the lowest electricity consumption and automatically turns off after 8 hours. The SLEEP function adjusts temperature and fan speed for comfortable night sleep, increasing cooling temperature by 1 °C per hour for two hours, and decreasing heating temperature by 2 °C per hour for two hours. Fan speed automatically switches to the lowest level. This mode automatically turns off after 10 hours and cannot be activated in FAN or AUTO modes. The SILENCE function reduces the unit's sound level for quieter operation. The HEALTH function is not available for these models.
The unit also features an iCLEAN function for self-cleaning, which involves freezing, defrosting, and drying to remove dust and impurities from the evaporator. The iFEEL function allows the unit to sense the room temperature at the remote control's location for more accurate temperature control. Anti-F function prevents mold and bacteria formation by continuing to ventilate after cooling or dehumidification.
Airflow direction can be adjusted vertically using the remote control's oscillation button. Horizontal airflow adjustment is manual. An emergency button is located under the front panel of the indoor unit, allowing the unit to operate in Auto mode if the remote control is faulty, or to stop operation if the unit is already on.
The operating range for cooling mode is from -15 °C to +53 °C (outdoor temperature), and for heating mode, it is from -30 °C to +32 °C (outdoor temperature). The indoor temperature setting range is 16°C - 32°C. The minimum room area for installation varies by charge amount and mounting type, as detailed in "Table A - Minimum room area (m²)" in the manual. For example, a unit with a charge amount ≤1.2 kg requires a minimum floor area of 14.5 m², a window-mounted area of 5.2 m², a wall-mounted area of 1.6 m², and a ceiling-mounted area of 1.1 m². The fuse type for the unit is T3.15AH250V, with a maximum current of 3.15A. For permanently connected units, a single-pole power switch with a contact distance greater than 3 mm and a residual nominal value not greater than 30 mA is required. The air conditioner is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing control via a smartphone or tablet using the "SmartLife" app. To reset the Wi-Fi module, press the COOL and + buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The unit is designed with automatic protection devices that may shut it down if temperatures are too high or if the heat exchanger freezes due to low temperatures. During heating, the indoor unit fan may delay starting to prevent cold air from being introduced. Defrost function activates when outdoor temperatures are low and humidity is high, temporarily stopping heating for 5-12 minutes. After turning off, the unit may continue to ventilate for a few minutes to dry the indoor unit's battery. Users are advised to keep doors and windows closed during operation to maximize cooling or heating efficiency and to set appropriate temperatures to prevent energy waste. The manual also warns against placing hands or objects into air inlets/outlets and using the unit for purposes other than air conditioning.
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and longevity. This includes cleaning the air filter and the unit's panel. Air filters are located at the top of the indoor unit and should be removed, cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or water (below 45 °C with mild detergent if very dirty), and dried in the shade before reinstallation. The front panel can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth and damp cloth moistened with neutral detergent. Before any cleaning or maintenance, the unit must be shut down, and the power supply cut off for at least 5 minutes to prevent electric shocks. Volatile liquids like thinner or gasoline should not be used for cleaning as they can damage the housing. The manual emphasizes the importance of regular filter cleaning to prevent dust accumulation, which can affect performance. If the service environment is dusty, cleaning frequency should be increased. For long-term storage, users should cut off the power, remove batteries from the remote control, clean the filter and unit body, and remove dust from the outdoor unit. Troubleshooting tips are provided for common issues such as the unit not working, not starting after stopping, stopping after a while, poor cooling/heating effect, odor from the indoor unit, running water sound, clicking sounds, abnormal sounds, and water drops on the indoor unit.
