Why won't my Ariens 936036 - 2548 Tractor engine crank or start?

There are several possible reasons why your Ariens Tractor engine won't crank or start: 1. The PTO might be engaged. Disengage the PTO. 2. The brake might not be engaged. Depress the clutch/brake pedal while starting. 3. The battery might be discharged. Charge the battery. 4. The battery cables might be loose. Check the battery connections. 5. The fuel tank might be empty. Fill the fuel tank.
