Why won't my Ariens Lawn Mower engine start?

  Several factors can prevent your Ariens Lawn Mower engine from starting. It could be due to a failure in the Safety Interlock System, an empty fuel tank, contaminated fuel, or a discharged battery. Additionally, poor connections between the battery and cables, loose spark plug wires, or faulty spark plugs could be the cause. In the case of an empty fuel tank, refill it. If the fuel supply is contaminated, replace it with clean fuel. If the battery is discharged, charge it. If the connection between the battery and battery cables is poor, then tighten and/or clean the battery and battery cables. If the spark plug wires are loose, connect them, and if the spark plugs are faulty, replace them.

  If your Ariens Lawn Mower isn't cutting grass effectively, several issues might be the cause. The mower blades might not be level, or the mower deck pitch could be incorrect. Also, mower blades may be dull. The mowing speed could be too fast, belt tension or condition could be poor or the cutting height could be too low. If the mowing speed is too fast, drive slower when cutting grass. Do not set the cutting height too low; for very tall grass, mow twice.
