Installation Steps
(Please refer to Diagram 4)
• Optional - Remove the tamper-proof plug from the mounting plate (if
necessary, use a screw driver for this).
• Place the bracket on the desired location on the ceiling and mark the
screw holes with a pencil.
• Drill two installation holes diameter 5mm with electric drill.
• Carefully hammer the two plastic plugs into the holes until they are
ush with the surface.
• Insert the screws into bracket and tighten them rmly into the plastic
plugs (see Diagram 4).
• Fit the alarm on the bracket and turn the alarm body clockwise, until
it locates correctly on the bracket.
• If tamper resistance is required (e.g. rental housing), insert the
tamper-proof plug into the slot between the mounting plate and the
smoke alarm to lock your alarm on to the mounting bracket.
• Press and hold the Test button for approximately 5 seconds or until
the alarm sounds.
• If you have any questions on installation, you can contact your
retailer. WARNING: To prevent injury, this unit must be securely
attached to the ceiling in accordance with the installation instructions.
