What to do if my Asko Dishwasher does not start?
    • B
      Brian GarnerAug 17, 2025
If your Asko dishwasher isn't starting, make sure you press and hold the Start/Stop button until the display shows the door open symbol, indicating it's ready. Also, check if the door is properly closed, a fuse or circuit breaker has tripped, the plug is correctly plugged into the power outlet, the water supply valve is turned on, there are no overflows or leaks, or the Delayed start option has not been selected. If you hear a continuous whirring sound (the drain pump) that doesn't stop when you cut the power, turn off the water supply valve, pull out the plug, and call Customer Care Center.

How to fix Asko D5636XXLHSPH if the dishes are not clean?
    • J
      jodyfergusonAug 19, 2025
If your Asko dishwasher leaves dishes unclean, start by removing and cleaning the spray arms to ensure they rotate freely. Check that dishes aren't blocking the spray arms. Ensure your detergent isn't too old, and you're using the correct dosage based on water hardness—too much or too little can affect results. Select a higher temperature program if the current one is too weak. Load dishes correctly, avoiding obstructions from large bowls or lids and preventing tall glasses from being placed in basket corners. Secure dishes to prevent them from toppling, and ensure the filter is correctly and firmly screwed into place.

If your Asko dishwasher has water remaining above the filters, loosen the drain hose to check for blockages. Ensure the cone-shaped part of the drain boot is cut to the maximum size of the fitting where it attaches. Also, check the drain hose for kinks and clean the coarse and fine filters. Clean the drain pump as well.
