Why my Asko D5654 does not start?
    • J
      Jeffrey HernandezAug 18, 2025
Your Asko Dishwasher might not be starting due to several reasons. First, ensure you've turned on the main power switch by pressing and holding it until the display lights up. Then, check that the door is properly closed, the plug is correctly plugged into the power outlet, and the water supply valve is turned on. Also, verify that a fuse/circuit breaker hasn't been tripped and that the Delayed start option has not been selected. Finally, check for any overflow/leaks. If you hear a whirring sound (the drain pump) that doesn't stop when the main power switch is turned off, immediately turn off the water supply valve, pull out the plug, and call the Customer Care Center.

How to fix Asko Dishwasher if the dishes are not clean?
    • S
      sandrasmithAug 20, 2025
If your Asko Dishwasher isn't cleaning dishes properly, start by checking that the spray arms rotate freely and aren't blocked by dishes; remove the arms and clean them. Ensure you're using fresh detergent, avoiding large packages, and dosing it correctly according to your water hardness. Select a higher temperature program if the current one is too weak. Load dishes correctly, avoiding overcrowding or blocking spray arms with large bowls or tall glasses. Secure dishes to prevent them from toppling over during the cycle. Lastly, ensure the filter is correctly fitted and screwed firmly into place.

If water remains in your Asko Dishwasher above the filters, the drain hose might be blocked. Loosen the drain hose and check for debris. Ensure the cone-shaped part of the drain boot is cut to the maximum size of the fitting. Also, check the drain hose for kinks or sharp bends. Finally, clean the coarse and fine filters.

      Joseph FarrellAug 30, 2025
If your Asko Dishwasher has a bad odor, it could be due to dirt around the seals and in corners. Clean these areas with a dish brush and a low-foaming cleaner. Also, if you've been using low-temperature programs for a long time, run a program with a higher temperature about once a month.

What to do if Asko Dishwasher leaves spots on stainless steel or silver?
    • M
      Michael LeonSep 2, 2025
If your Asko Dishwasher is leaving spots on stainless steel or silver, it may be due to certain foods like mustard, mayonnaise, lemon, vinegar, salt, and dressings being left on the items for too long. Rinse these types of food off before starting the dishwasher, or use the Rinse & Hold program. Also, prevent stainless steel and silver items from touching during dishwashing, as stainless steel can cause spots on silver. Aluminum can also cause spots on dishes.

Why Asko D5654 leaves spots or films on the dishes?
    • A
      angela00Sep 4, 2025
Spots or films on dishes washed in your Asko Dishwasher can result from an incorrect rinse aid dosage setting. Also, too high a temperature and/or too much detergent can cause etching on crystal. Wash crystal at a low temperature with a conservative amount of detergent and contact the detergent manufacturer.

Why Asko D5654 Dishwasher leaves a sticky white/blue film on the dishes?
    • C
      Chase RussellSep 6, 2025
A sticky white/blue film on dishes from your Asko Dishwasher is likely due to a rinse aid dosage setting that is too high. Reduce the amount of rinse aid. If you have very soft water, consider diluting the rinse aid 50:50 with water.
