If your Asko dishwasher isn't cleaning dishes properly, make sure the spray arms can rotate freely and aren't blocked by dishes. Clean the spray arms if the holes or bearings are blocked. Select a longer, more suitable program. Ensure you are using the correct detergent dosage for your water hardness, and that the detergent isn't too old. Load the dishes correctly, avoiding overcrowding or blocking. Secure glasses and cups to prevent them from toppling. Finally, check that the filters are correctly fitted and locked in place.

Close the door within four seconds of pressing Start/Stop. Also, verify that a fuse or circuit breaker hasn't tripped, the dishwasher is properly plugged in, and the water supply valve is open. Check for any overflow or leaks, and make sure the Delayed Start option is not active. If a whirring sound is present and doesn't stop, turn off the water supply, unplug the dishwasher, and contact customer support.

If your Asko dishwasher's dishes aren't clean, start by checking if the spray arms are blocked by dishes or if the spray arm holes are clogged. Choose a longer, more suitable dishwashing program and ensure you're using the correct detergent dosage based on your water hardness. Avoid using old detergent and make sure dishes are loaded correctly, without large bowls or lids covering them. Also, confirm that the filters are correctly fitted and that the drain pump stop is in place.

Overview

This manual describes ASKO dishwashers, washers, and dryers, designed with a Scandinavian touch for both design and function, emphasizing performance, durability, and environmental awareness.

ASKO Dishwashers

ASKO dishwashers are premium quality appliances built to meet the highest demands in performance and durability while maintaining environmental consciousness. They are available in various models, including integrated handle, tubular handle, pro handle, panel-ready, and outdoor versions. The panel-ready models allow for a custom panel and handle to seamlessly integrate with your kitchen cabinetry. Tubular and pro handle models are designed to match Sub-Zero and Wolf products, offering a cohesive aesthetic in high-end kitchens.

When installing an ASKO dishwasher, careful consideration of opening dimensions is crucial. Indoor models can accommodate varying opening widths, with 24 inches (610 mm) and 23 5/8 inches (60 cm) being the most common. A 23 5/8 inch (60 cm) opening will provide minimum reveals, ensuring a sleek, built-in look. A minimum 3 1/2 inch (89 mm) finished return is required on all sides of the opening. For framed cabinets, additional finished filler material behind the face frame may be necessary for proper installation. Indoor models come with top and side trim to accommodate different opening dimensions, which can be removed to achieve minimum reveals. For ADA installations and height-restricted openings, all indoor, non-XXL models can be installed in a 32 1/4 inch (819 mm) opening by removing the top trim and lowering the side trim.

Electrical and plumbing requirements are straightforward but essential for safe and efficient operation. The electrical supply should ideally be located in an adjacent cabinet. If this is not possible, it must be within the shaded area shown in the installation diagrams. A dedicated circuit, servicing only the dishwasher, is required. For outdoor models, a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) is mandatory to reduce the risk of electrical shock. However, a GFCI is not recommended for other models as it may cause interruptions in operation. All electrical installations must comply with applicable codes. The water supply and drain should also be in an adjacent cabinet or within the shaded area. The water supply line should connect to a hot or cold house supply with an easily accessible shut-off valve. All plumbing installations must comply with applicable codes.

Custom panels for panel-ready dishwashers require precise dimensions. The size of the custom door panel is directly related to the opening size. For widths other than 24 inches (610 mm) and 23 5/8 inches (60 cm), the panel should be 1/4 inch (6 mm) less than the opening to achieve minimum reveals. The minimum panel width is 23 3/8 inches (594 mm). The most common opening height is 34 1/2 inches (876 mm), with a 4 inch (102 mm) toe kick and 3/8 inch (10 mm) top reveal. Panel dimensions must be adjusted for other opening and toe kick heights. The minimum panel height is 28 inches (711 mm), and the minimum toe kick height is 4 inches (102 mm). All sides of the custom panel should be finished, as they may be visible when the door is open. For ADA compliance, where countertop height is limited to 34 inches (864 mm), panel dimensions will vary, typically based on a 32 1/2 inch (826 mm) opening height with a 4 inch (102 mm) toe kick and 3/8 inch (10 mm) top reveal. The panel height cannot be less than 28 inches (711 mm).

ASKO Washers and Dryers

ASKO washers and dryers embody 60 years of Swedish ingenuity and continuous innovation, balancing performance and durability with environmental considerations. They are designed to deliver optimal washing and drying results while treating clothes with care. The UltraCare system ensures efficient laundry processing, whether for high-efficiency family-sized loads or supersized XL capacities. ASKO offers a range of models, including various washer and dryer types, to suit different family needs.

Installation of ASKO washers and dryers, whether as single units or stacked, requires attention to specific opening dimensions. For single installations, the opening depth, width, and height are critical to ensure proper fit and ventilation. Side-by-side installations require a wider opening to accommodate both units. Stacked installations, which save floor space, involve placing the dryer on top of the washer. In such cases, a hidden helper accessory may be installed to facilitate access. If a washer or dryer is installed in a closet or an enclosure with a door, the door must be vented, louvered, or left open during operation to prevent insufficient ventilation, which can significantly reduce performance.

ASKO also offers "Hidden Helpers" accessories to enhance the functionality and convenience of your laundry area. These include single shelves, double shelves, ironing boards, and pull-out baskets. These accessories are designed to integrate seamlessly with ASKO laundry systems, providing practical storage and utility solutions.

Electrical and plumbing requirements for washers and dryers are distinct. A separate electrical service is not required for the washer, as its receptacle is located on the back of the dryer. However, if the washer is installed separately, its electrical location must be within reach of the power cord. All electrical installations must comply with applicable codes. For plumbing, the installation must also comply with all applicable plumbing codes, ensuring proper water supply and drainage.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

For any repair service needs, first consult the "Troubleshooting" section of the Use & Care Guide. If the problem persists, contact ASKO Customer Care. It is helpful to have the service number, item number, and serial number from the rating plate (located inside the dishwasher on the right) ready when you call.

ASKO provides a Residential Limited Warranty to the original purchaser, covering defects in materials and/or workmanship for a specified period. For residential ASKO products used exclusively for household/personal purposes, a two-year limited warranty applies, covering parts and labor. Service must be provided by an authorized ASKO service company. For products not used exclusively for household/personal purposes, or used commercially, in marine, mobile, or aeronautical applications, a one-year limited warranty applies.

The warranty excludes several items, such as replacement parts or repair labor for use inconsistent with published instructions, service calls for installation correction or user instruction, consumable items like filters, damage from accidents, misuse, abuse, negligence, or unauthorized repairs, cosmetic damage not reported within five days of purchase, pickup and delivery (repairs are performed in your home), repairs due to unauthorized modifications, travel expenses for remote locations, and removal/reinstallation if the product is in an inaccessible location or not installed according to instructions. Products with removed, altered, or unidentifiable model/serial numbers are also excluded.

The sole and exclusive remedy under this limited warranty is product repair. All other express and implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are expressly disclaimed. ASKO's liability for damages is limited to actual damages and will not exceed the price paid for the product.

After the warranty expires, or for issues outside the warranty scope, you can contact ASKO Customer Care for information on obtaining parts and labor. It is recommended to register your ASKO product after purchase and before first use.
