Turn the Pressure Control knob clockwise to increase the pressure setting. * The electrical outlet may not be providing power. Try a different outlet or test the outlet with a working device. Reset the building circuit breaker or replace the fuse. * The extension cord or sprayer electrical cord could be damaged. Replace the extension cord or check the sprayer's cord for damage and replace if necessary. * The paint might be frozen or hardened in the pump. * The motor or control might be damaged.

      If the pump does not prime, check the following: * Ensure the Spray–Prime/Drain valve is in the PRIME/DRAIN position (pointing down). * Check if the inlet screen is clogged or the suction tube isn't immersed. Clean any debris from the inlet screen and ensure the suction tube reaches the bottom of the paint pail. * Inspect the suction tube for leaks. Tighten the suction tube connection and look for cracks or vacuum leaks. * The balls in the check valve might be stuck, or the check valves may be damaged. Clean or replace the check valves. Remember not to store them in water.

      If the motor is hot and runs intermittently, consider these causes: * The vent holes in the enclosures may be plugged, or the sprayer is covered. Keep vent holes clear and ensure the sprayer is open to air. * The extension cord might be too long or not a heavy enough gauge. Try replacing the extension cord. * An unregulated electrical generator with excessive voltage may be in use. Use a generator with a proper voltage regulator. The sprayer requires a 120V AC, 60 Hz, 1500-Watt generator. * The sprayer might have been operated at high pressure with a very small tip. Decrease the pressure setting or increase the tip size.

      If paint is coming out of the pressure control switch, it indicates that the pressure control switch is worn. Replace the Pressure Control knob using Pressure Control Switch Kit 244267.
