Why is there so much foam in my Aspes Washer detergent drawer?
    • A
      Alexander NewtonAug 17, 2025
If you notice excessive foam in the detergent drawer of your Aspes Washer, it could be due to using too much detergent or using the wrong type. To stop the foam, dilute one tablespoon of softener into 1/2 litre of water and pour into the detergent drawer. Press the Start/Pause button after 5-10 mins. Only use detergents specifically made for automatic Washing Machines.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficient operation of the washing machine.

General Cleaning:

  • Exterior: Clean with a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent or soap and water, wiping dry with a soft cloth. Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, glass cleaners, or all-purpose cleaning agents.
  • Drum: Avoid leaving metallic objects in the drum to prevent rust stains. Clean rust stains with a non-chlorine cleaning agent, following manufacturer instructions. Do not use wire wool or hard objects.
  • Periodic Cleaning: It is recommended to clean the machine every 2 months using the "Drum Clean" program or "Cottons-90" if "Drum Clean" is not available. Limescale removers specifically for washing machines can be used when needed.

Filter Maintenance:

  • Water Inlet Filters: These filters prevent dirt from entering the machine and should be cleaned every 2 months, or when the machine is unable to receive sufficient water. This involves unscrewing the inlet hose(s) and using long-nosed pliers to remove and clean the plastic bars in the filters.
  • Pump Filter: The pump filter system prolongs the life of the pump by preventing lint. It should be cleaned every 2 months. To access, open the cover on the front-lower right corner, place a container to collect water, loosen the filter by turning anticlockwise, remove foreign materials with a soft brush, and then re-fit.

Detergent Drawer Maintenance:

  • The detergent drawer should be removed and cleaned every 2 months to prevent residue build-up. This involves pulling the drawer forward, pressing a release mechanism, and disassembling the flush stopper for thorough cleaning. The liquid detergent apparatus should also be cleaned of residues.

Important Notes:

  • Always unplug the machine and turn off the water supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
  • Do not open the detergent drawer while the machine is running.
  • Do not force the door open when the machine is running; it will open automatically 2 minutes after a wash cycle ends.
  • The machine must be carried by at least two people.
  • Children should not play with the appliance, and cleaning/maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.
  • The manufacturer provides a minimum period of 10 years for supplying spare parts.
