1. (optional) Remove the storage bay if a storage bay is installed. Follow
step 2 under the Installing 2.5” HDD or SSD section to remove the
storage bay.
2. (optional) If your model has a fan installed, remove the three
(3) screws securing the fan, then lift the fan upwards so that it is
perpendicular to the heatsink, but do not remove the fan completely.
