7. SATA 6Gb/s ports
The SATA 6Gb/s ports allows you to connect SATA devices such as optical disc
drives and hard disk drives via a SATA cable.

• These connectors are set to [AHCI] by default. If you intend to create a Serial ATA
RAID set using these connectors, set the SATA Mode Selection item in the BIOS to
[RAID].
• Before creating a RAID set, refer to section RAID configurations or the manual
bundled in the motherboard support DVD.
• When using NCQ, set the SATA Mode in the BIOS to [AHCI]. Refer to section SATA
Configuration for details.
• When M.2_2 slot is populated , SATA6G_5/6 ports will be disabled.
