Turn answering system on or o
The answering system must be turned on to answer and record messages.
Using the telephone base:
f Press /ANSWER ON to turn the answering system on or o.
If the answering system is turned on, it announces, “Calls will be answered.” If the
answering system is turned o, it announces, “Calls will not be answered.”
Using a cordless handset:
1. MENU -> / -> Answering sys -> SELECT.
2. / -> Answer on/o -> SELECT.
3. / to choose On or O-> SELECT.
When the answering system is on, the handset shows ANS ON.
Message alert tone
When this feature is on, the telephone base beeps every 10 seconds when there is
new messages.
Using a cordless handset:
1. MENU -> / -> Answering sys -> SELECT.
2. / -> Ans sys setup -> SELECT.
3. / -> Msg alert tone -> SELECT.
4. / to choose On or O -> SELECT.
Call screening
Turn this feature on if you want to listen to the incoming messages when they are
being recorded. While monitoring an incoming message, you can answer the call by
pressing
PHONE/FLASH on the handset.
Using a cordless handset:
1. MENU -> / -> Answering sys -> SELECT.
2. / -> Ans sys setup -> SELECT.
3. SELECT to select Call screening.
4. / to choose On or O -> SELECT.
