Getting started
NOTES:
Do not mix old and new batteries, and do not mix alkaline and standard (carbon-
zinc) batteries.
When the batteries are installed, the screen shows 12:00 and the clock begins
to run. The clock will be set automatically with each incoming call if you
subscribe to caller ID service provided by your telephone service provider. If you
wish to set the date and time manually, see Time and date on page 16.
Always disconnect the telephone line from the telephone wall jack before
replacing batteries.
Install new batteries every six months to maintain the call log and telephone
memory.
