CAUTION
- The unplugging of the battery with the panel and/or connected consumption can
cause grave damages to the equipment. As a standard we consider the following:
THE BATTERY IS THE FIRST TO BE CONNECTED AND THE LAST TO BE
UNPLUGGED.
- BEFORE MAKING EACH CONNECTION IT IS IMPORTANT TO CHECK THE
POLARITY. When you handle the panels connections, it is important to avoid a
possible short-circuit between the positive and negative of the panels line, as it
implies a short-circuit in the battery through the regulator. That would cause serious
damages to the equipment if there is no option of blocking diode.
- The installation of the equipment is usually made near to the accumulators. The
gases emitted are explosive when they reach a certain concentration, that is why it is
important that the place feature a correct ventilation and not to cause sparking nor
flames.
- The regulator works (open/close) on the negative lines when it makes the control.
The positive lines are common (panels, battery, consumption). If you want to make a
ground connection of the installation, you must take into account this circumstance,
and in any moment refer to the Electro-technical Regulation on Low Voltage
