EPC memory
Product number, generation letter and serial number of the tool are stored in the EPC memory of the RFID
chip. The information is presented as a 20-character-long string.

The string reserves three characters for the generation letter, which is presented in ASCII format. As the
ASCII codes of the generation letters only use two characters, a “0” is always added in front of the ASCII
code.
