14. Air and oil mist expelled
from air filters
immediately after
stopping.
a. Check valve at element outlet leaking or
broken.
a. Remove and inspect. Replace valve if
necessary. Replace air filter elements and
safety cartridges. Check the oil level and add
oil if necessary. Run the compressor for a few
minutes, stop and recheck oil level.

15. Compressor overheating. a. Insufficient compressor cooling. a. Locate compressor away from walls; when
banked with other compressors, leave space
between them.
b. Oil cooler clogged externally. b. Clean oil cooler.

d. Oil filters clogged. d. Replace filters.
e. Oil level too low. e. Check oil level. Top up level, if necessary.
