The Atlona AT-HDVS-150-TX is a versatile 3x1 switcher designed for HDMI and VGA transmission over HDBaseT, offering display control capabilities. It features two HDMI inputs and one VGA input, each with a 3.5mm audio connector for analog audio input. This device combines the advantages of a switcher with built-in auto-switching and the benefits of long-distance HDBaseT signal extension over a single cable.

Function Description:

The AT-HDVS-150-TX serves as a central component for small, automated AV systems. It can automatically select inputs and send RS-232 control commands to a connected display. With its automatic display control capability, the switcher can power the display on or off when a source is connected or disconnected from the unit.

The device supports HDMI signals up to 4K/UHD @ 60Hz with embedded audio and VGA input signals up to 1920x1200 video. These signals, along with control signals, can be extended up to 230 feet (70 meters) over HDBaseT. The AT-HDVS-150-TX receives power from an AT-HDVS-150-RX receiver using Power over Ethernet (PoE).

The AT-HDVS-150-TX-PSK model is identical to the AT-HDVS-150-TX but includes local powering capability and an external power supply. This makes it suitable for point-to-point installations where AV and control need to be extended directly to a projector with an HDBaseT input, or to power other HDBaseT receivers or projectors.

Usage Features:

Inputs: Two HDMI inputs and one VGA input with a 3.5mm audio connector.
HDBaseT Output: Connects to a PoE-compatible receiver for long-distance transmission.
Display ON/OFF Button: Controls the power state of a connected display (programmable, requires compatible Atlona receiver).
Input Select Button: Cycles through available inputs.
Automatic Input Selection: Uses 5-volt detection to automatically switch to the most recently connected or powered source. Note that auto-switching is triggered by a Hot-Plug Detect (HPD) event, and VGA does not support HPD.
Analog Audio Passthrough: Analog audio from the AUDIO IN port is passed through only when the VGA IN port is selected and connected to an active VGA source. Analog audio cannot be embedded on an HDMI signal.
LED Indicators: PWR, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, and VGA LEDs glow bright green to indicate power status and active input.
DC 48V Port (AT-HDVS-150-TX-PSK only): Connects to the included power supply to provide power to other HDBaseT receivers or projectors.

Maintenance Features:

Firmware Updates: The device is field-upgradable via a USB interface. Firmware updates are performed by connecting a computer to the FW port using a mini USB to USB-A cable, disconnecting the Ethernet cable from the HDBaseT OUT port, pressing and holding the DISPLAY ON/OFF button, and then connecting the USB cable. The firmware file is then dragged and dropped onto the "USB UPDATER" drive that appears on the computer.
Cleaning: Clean the product only with a dry cloth.
Safety: Follow all safety instructions, including protecting the power cord, using specified attachments/accessories, and referring all servicing to qualified personnel. Do not open the enclosure or expose the unit to rain or moisture.
