Function Description:

The Altraflame Electric Fireplace is an indoor heating appliance that simulates the look and feel of a traditional fireplace without the need for combustion. It functions as an electric heater and a decorative element, featuring a flame generator assembly that creates a realistic flame effect. The unit is designed for homeowners and is operated via a touchscreen control panel on the fireplace itself or a remote control. It offers various temperature settings, a timer function, and adjustable ember bed and sidelight colors to customize the ambiance.

Usage Features:

Control Options: The fireplace can be controlled using a touchscreen panel located on the top-right of the firebox or with the included remote control.
Power On/Off: The POWER button turns the appliance on or off. It has a memory function, retaining previous settings. Pressing the button again will cycle through the settings. If the TIMER has expired, all functions will stop.
Flame Effect: The FLAME button controls the color of the flame changes. There are 7 colors (L8-L2) and a dynamic condition (L1) that can be cycled through.
Heater Function: The HEATER button turns the heater On & Off. When the heater is on, pressing the Increase/Decrease button changes the desired temperature. There are 11 temperature settings available.
Temperature Unit Conversion: Holding the heater button for 5 seconds converts the temperature unit between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Lock & Unlock Heater Function: Press and hold the Heater button for 10 seconds to lock or unlock the heater function. When locked, the heater icon will flash 6 times, and the ember bed will also flash 6 times.
Timer Function: The TIMER button adjusts the operating time from 30 minutes to 6 hours in 30-minute increments. Once the timer is set, it will close all functions and enter standby mode when the time expires.
Ember Bed Button: Each time the Ember Bed Button is pressed, the color of the ember bed and side light changes. There are 7 colors (d8-d2) and a dynamic condition (d1) that can be cycled through.
Increase/Decrease Button: With the heater on, pressing the Increase/Decrease button changes the desired temperature. There are 11 temperature settings available.
Installation: The fireplace is designed for easy installation. It involves positioning the unit into a mantel, securing it with screws, and connecting it to a grounded electrical outlet. The manual provides detailed steps for installing the acrylic crystals and sidelights.
Cold Climate Installation Recommendation: When installing against a non-insulated exterior wall or chase, it is mandatory to insulate outer walls to conform to applicable insulation codes.
Electrical Connection: The unit comes with a 6-foot (1.8M) three-wire cord. Users should plan installation to avoid using an extension cord.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning Trim: The metal trim should be cleaned using a soft cloth slightly dampened with a citrus oil-based product, then buffed with a clean soft cloth. Brass polish or household cleaners should not be used as they can damage the metal trim.
General Maintenance: The motors for the fan and flame generator are pre-lubricated for extended bearing life and do not require further lubrication.
