The AUDAC Ateo 2 is an ultra-compact full-range loudspeaker designed for fixed indoor installations. It is part of the ATEO series, which is specifically engineered to blend seamlessly into various indoor environments, from modern residential settings to demanding designer applications in retail stores, pubs, restaurants, and clubs. The Ateo 2 stands out for its ability to integrate smoothly into any interior, thanks to its elegant design and innovative mounting technology.

At the core of the Ateo 2's design is a 2-inch aluminum cone driver, which is responsible for delivering a full-range, warm, and detailed sound. The loudspeaker's ported enclosure contributes to an improved response in the low frequencies, ensuring a rich audio experience despite its compact size. The speaker is housed in a stunningly designed ABS enclosure, which not only provides an elegant aesthetic but also incorporates high-quality components for reliable performance.

A key distinguishing feature of the Ateo series, and the Ateo 2 in particular, is the specially designed mounting bracket that utilizes Clevermount™ technology. This innovative technology allows the loudspeaker cabinet to flow together with the mounting bracket, creating a single, cohesive, and aesthetically pleasing entity. The Clevermount™ system simplifies the installation process significantly, making it easy to achieve a clean and professional look.

The installation procedure for the Ateo 2 is straightforward and involves a simple five-step process. The first step is to attach the wall plate to the desired mounting location. The wall plate is designed to be fixed with four screws in a quadrangular shape, with a mutual distance of 28.3 mm both horizontally and vertically. Wires from the amplifier are fed through a central hole in the wall plate. The choice of fasteners should be appropriate for the mounting surface, such as brick, concrete, or wood.

The second step involves making the electrical connections. The Ateo 2 supports connection in low impedance (8 Ohm) mode, providing two terminals for this purpose. A 2-pin terminal block connector is included and should be assembled to the amplifier's wires, which are routed through the wall plate's central hole. It is crucial to pay close attention to the polarity markings on the connector and ensure consistent polarity throughout the entire audio system to prevent damage and ensure optimal sound quality.

Once the wall plate is mounted and the connector is wired, the third step is to attach the speaker. The connector is plugged into its counterpart on the loudspeaker's rear side. The speaker is then brought to the wall plate, ensuring that the cams on the speaker align with the recesses on the wall plate. When properly matched, the speaker will fit securely onto the wall plate. The final action in this step is to rotate the bracket until both parts lock together with an audible 'click,' signifying a secure attachment.

The fourth step focuses on positioning the loudspeaker. The Ateo 2 incorporates a spring-loaded mechanism that enables directional adjustment of the loudspeaker without the need for any tools. This feature allows users to carefully point the speaker into the desired direction, and it will automatically maintain that position. This flexibility in aiming the speaker is particularly beneficial for optimizing sound distribution within a space. For environments with intense vibrations, the directional adjustment system might require a tighter setting, which can be achieved by adjusting an allen-key bolt located on the inner side of the speaker bracket, accessible from the rear of the loudspeaker.

The final step, after correct installation, is to enjoy the music. The Ateo 2 is designed to deliver high-quality audio, making it suitable for creating an immersive sound experience in various indoor settings.

Regarding maintenance, the Ateo 2 is designed with user safety and product longevity in mind. Users are advised to always keep the instructions for future reference and handle the unit with care. Cleaning should be done using only a dry cloth. It is important to heed all warnings and follow all instructions provided in the manual. The equipment should never be exposed to rain, moisture, or any dripping or splashing liquid, and no liquid-filled objects should be placed on top of it. Installation near heat sources such as radiators or other heat-producing apparatus should be avoided. The unit should also not be placed in environments with high levels of dust, heat, moisture, or vibration.

The Ateo 2 is developed exclusively for indoor use and should not be used outdoors. Only attachments and accessories specified by the manufacturer should be used. It is critical to install the speaker only in locations that can structurally support its weight; failure to do so could result in the speaker falling. No other mounting method than the one specified should be used, as applying extreme force to the speaker could cause it to fall. When mounted high up, a safety wire should be attached to the speaker, using only industry-accepted rigging tools and methods.

Upon unpacking, the unit's condition should be carefully checked. Any damage to the carton box or the unit itself should be reported to the vendor immediately. All local regulations and requirements regarding the installation, suspension, and connection of the loudspeaker must be followed, even if otherwise specified in the document. The installation of this loudspeaker should only be performed by qualified personnel.

For connections, cables of the correct gauge should be used, and they should have clear color coding to indicate polarity, maintaining consistent polarity throughout the entire system. Only the correct amplifier output voltage and impedance should be used, as exceeding these limits could lead to fire or other failures. To prevent explosions, the speaker should not be used near gasoline, thinner, or other combustibles. To avoid electric shocks, the amplifier should be switched off when connecting the loudspeaker. Finally, the loudspeaker should not be used for extended periods at distorted sound levels, as this could cause permanent damage.

The Ateo 2 contains no user-serviceable parts. All servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel. Users should not attempt any servicing unless they are qualified to do so. The WEEE marking indicates that the product should not be disposed of with regular household waste at the end of its life.
