Persons, who do not know the operating instructions, must not use the
pressure filter!
This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with physical,
sensory or mental impairment or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless
they are accompanied by a person responsible for their safety or by being
instructed how to use the device.
Children should be monitored to ensure that they do not play with the device.
Application
The VarioPress Pro is a pressure filter with built-in UV-c, for mechanical and
biological filtration of pond water of ponds with a temperature between +4 º C
and 35 º C. The pressure filter is intended exclusively for private use, for cleaning
garden ponds, with or without fish. The operation of the pressure filter requires a
pump that pumps the pond water through the pressure filter.
Scope of Application:
The pressure filter must not be in operation, when persons are in the water!
(Disconnect the pressure filter from the mains).
Use in or on swimming ponds and swimming pools is not permitted!
Important to know:
Pressure filters are low-pressure filters. Connecting too large pumps, too small
piping or too much head after the filter can cause (internal) leaks that can lead to
damage to filter components.
Pressure filter, pump, piping and application must therefore be well matched.
Regular flushing of the pressure filter is very important, also a too dirty pressure
filter can cause overpressure which can lead to leakage and damage. A pressure
filter that is too dirty will adversely affect the operation and automatic flushing
and can lead to additional wear and damage. To determine the cleaning intervals,
the rule is that the pressure filter should be able to rinse itself in about 2 minutes
(rinsing time), the rinse water should flow out of the filter clean again within this
rinsing time..
Safety Instructions:
Attention! UV-c radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin!
Use the UV-c lamp of the pressure filter only in the closed unit.
Functional control of the lamp can be easily observed through the
transparent control glass (J) fig. 6 - page 5).
Caution! The use of this pressure filter with ponds is only permitted if
the existing electrical installation complies with the legal standards.
o If in doubt, consult a professional installer.
The pressure filter may only be connected to an installation with
a residual current device (30mA) and a socket with protective
earth.
The mains voltage and type of current must correspond to the data on
the rating plate or as in the table on page 2.
The pressure filter must be set up at least 2 meters from the water's
edge (Fig. 1 and 2 - pages 3 and 4).
