The Autonics E40 Series are 40 mm diameter incremental rotary encoders designed for precise position and speed detection in various industrial applications. These encoders offer a robust and versatile solution for motion control, with several shaft and output options to suit diverse system requirements.

Function Description

The E40 Series encoders convert rotational motion into electrical signals, providing feedback on angular position, speed, and direction. They utilize an incremental encoding method, generating a series of pulses for each rotation. Depending on the model, they can output A, B, and Z phases, or their inverted counterparts (A, A, B, B, Z, Z for line driver models), allowing for direction sensing and a reference point per revolution.
