Specifying an IP address for the midplane interface
Use this procedure to specify an IP address for one of the midplane Ethernet interfaces that
connects to the Mediation Server module.
By default, no IP address is assigned to the interface.
Procedure steps
1.
To enter configuration mode, enter:
configure terminal
2. To select midplane interface configuration, enter:
interface servmod <slot/port>
3. To specify an IP address for the midplane interface, enter:
ip address <ip-address> <subnet-mask>
4. To enable the interface, enter:
no shutdown
Enabling DHCP on the midplane interface
Use this procedure to enable DHCP on the midplane Ethernet interface.
To
enable the Mediation Server module functionality, you must configure an IP address on one
of the Mediation Server interfaces. If you are configuring the Mediation Server remotely, you
can enable the DHCP server on one of the connected SR4134 midplane Ethernet interfaces
to assign an IP address to the Mediation Server module.
Procedure steps
1. To enter configuration mode, enter:
