Your ave. Hybrid bike has a range of protection and safety equipment on board, some of which
are to be discussed here:
The chain ring bears on the outside a chain guard, that is designed to prevent pinch of fabric or
even body parts, between the gear and the chain and being injured (see fig. above). Despite
exercising precaution, you should always be careful to rotating and moving parts of the bike,
especially the chain drive.
The wheels are covered by protective plates (chromo plastics), with the exception of the
Xtreme series, in order to avoid contact and pollution (see fig. above).
