Original Operating Manual 1-2013
68
To secure the bike against misuse and simple theft, all Touring and some Sports models have an
integrated frame lock on the rear side (see fig. above). This allows you to prevent an unwanted
use of the bike. The key corresponds to both, frame and battery lock, so that you only need one
key to be on the save side!
NOTE: In order to secure your Hybrid bike for parking or a longer stand it is recommended to
lock it at the frame or by a chain and to take the operating computer with you and if necessary
the battery, too. Without the operating computer the e-drive does not work, so this is the ‚elec-
tronic key‘ for your system. But don’t forget the ‚mechanical key‘ - it locks the wheel and the
battery. If you left it and somebody takes it out, you are blocked to use your bike.
Note: You should keep the second bike key in a safe place. Note the key number e. g. in this
manual appendix and refer to it, in case of replacement.
