Function Description:
The AVG NEVADA range hood is designed for residential use to ventilate cooking fumes, smoke, and grease from the kitchen. It operates by drawing air from the cooking area, filtering it, and expelling it to the outside. The hood features a multi-speed fan, LED lighting, and a digital timer for delayed shut-off. It is equipped with a cleaning reminder to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

- Power Requirement: 120V c.a., 60Hz branch circuit of 15V c.a., 20Hz, of 15 or 20A.
- Mounting Height (Minimum):
- 30" above a gas cooking surface.

- Distances over 30" are at the installer's and user's discretion, provided that ceiling height permits.
- Ducting: Requires metal ducts. 6" round metal venting tube is used for exhaust.

Usage Features:
The range hood is operated via a control panel with several buttons and indicators:
- Power/Power-Off Delay Button:
- Turns the hood ON/OFF.
- Activates the power-off delay timer. To activate, press and hold for more than 3 seconds while the fan is running. The delay indicator will light up and count down.
- Decrease Button (-):
- Decreases fan speed (from 6 to 1).
- Decreases timer duration.
- Enters timer mode: While the fan is OFF, press and hold for 3 seconds to enter timer mode.
- Increase Button (+):
- Increases fan speed (from 1 to 6).
- Increases timer duration.
- Resets the cumulative cleaning timer (press and hold for 3 seconds when the motor is not running).
- Light Button:
- Turns LED lights ON/OFF with a single press.
- Adjusts light intensity: While lights are OFF, press and hold for 3 seconds to adjust brightness. The system saves the preferred brightness level.
- Blower Speed Indicator: Displays the current fan speed (1-6).
- Power-Off Delay Digital Timer: Shows the remaining time for the 'delay off' function.
- Cleaning Reminder Indicator: Flashes when 30 hours of cumulative fan operation have passed, reminding the user to clean the aluminum filters.
- Timer Function: Allows setting a delayed shut-off from 1 to 15 minutes. The setting is saved immediately.
- User Configurations: The system saves user settings for light intensity, timer duration, and fan speed for future use.
Maintenance Features:
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and appearance.
- Exterior Surfaces:
- Clean periodically with warm soapy water and a clean cotton cloth.
- For heavier soil, use a liquid degreasing cleaner or a stainless steel cleaner.
- Always scrub lightly with a clean cotton cloth in the direction of the grain.
- Avoid corrosive or abrasive detergents, steel wool pads, or steel brushes to prevent scratching or rusting.
- Do not allow salt solutions, disinfectants, bleaches, or cleaning compounds to remain in contact with stainless steel for extended periods.
- Rinse with water and wipe dry with a clean cloth after exposure to such compounds.
- Grease Filters:
- Clean after every 30 hours of use or once a month.
- To remove, push the metal latch and disengage from the hood, then tilt down and pull out.
- Clean by hand in soapy water or in a dishwasher.
- If using a dishwasher, use a non-phosphate detergent to avoid discoloration (discoloration is not covered by warranty).
- Dry filters and re-install.
- Replace damaged filters (punctured, broken mesh, bent frame).
- Grease Cup (Oil Tunnel):
- Insert the oil tunnel (grease cup) properly.
- Empty and clean regularly.
- LED Light Bulbs:
- Replace only with new LED lamps of the same rating.
- Ensure all control switches are OFF and the hood is unplugged or the breaker is OFF before replacement.
- Allow lights to cool before touching.
- Align the arrow on the inner ring with the arrow on the outer ring (marked 'OPEN') using an inner ring opener.
- Remove the loosened inner ring and bulb, install a new bulb, and reverse the steps.
- Cleaning Reminder: The hood features an automatic cleaning reminder that activates after 30 hours of use, indicating that filters should be cleaned. The reminder can be reset by pressing and holding the 'Increase' (+) button for 3 seconds when the motor is not running.
