Usage
- Do not allow your attention to be diverted from operating the hoist.
- Maintain firm footing or be otherwise secured at all times when operating the hoist.
- Do not use the hoist to lift, support or transport people.
- Do not lift loads over people.
- Start the lifting operation slowly. Make sure the load is balanced and the brake is func-
tioning by lifting the load only slightly from the ground at first.
- Do not allow the hoist to be subjected to sharp contact with other hoists, structures or
objects. Protect the hoist against all blows and impacts.
- Do not use the hoist overload limit switch to weigh the load.
- Do not remove or cover labels on the hoist. Do not operate the hoist if the labels are illeg-
ible or missing.
Checks
- Inspect the hoist regularly, have damaged or worn parts replaced and record data on an
appropriate maintenance record book.
- Ensure proper operation of the control unit before each use.
- Make sure the limit switches function properly.
- Do not operate a damaged or malfunctioning hoist.
Repairs
- Do not adjust or repair the hoist unless you are qualified to perform such operations.
- Shut down the hoist immediately in case of malfuction or unusual operation, record data
on an appropriate maintenance record book and take the hoist to an authorized service
center for repair.
- Only original spare parts may be used in the hoist.
