INSTALLATION
- Before installation/operation of the hoist, ensure that the hoist and especially its electri-
cal components are free of rust and other damages.
- Check that the mains connection corresponds with the technical data given on the rating
plate of the cable hoist before you connect the mains plug into the socket.
- The mounting structure must have sufficient capacity to hold the total weight of the in-
stalled hoist-assembly and load during use.
- If the appliance is installed to a scaffolding, the scaffolding must be securely supported to
avoid swing caused by the wind.
- To avoid damage to inner parts, the hoist may be positioned on a hard and smooth sur-
face only. The bolts must always be securely tightened.
OPERATION
Inspection before operation
Always ensure following points before operating the hoist:
- Ensure that you master the operating instructions of the hoist and are familiar with its
features (e.g. hoist speed and draw direction).
- Ensure the suitability of the hoist for the application and operating conditions.
- Check that the hoist and wire are carefully and securely installed.
- Check the condition of the wire and if you detect any abrasion, broken strands, rust or
other damage, replace it immediately with a new equivalent hoist.
- Check that the screws of the load fastening hook are securely tightened.
- Check that the mounting nuts of the steel wire are in good condition and securely tight-
ened.
- Check regularly that motor start/stop switches are in faultless condition.
- Check that the wire is evenly spooled around the drum (see Fig. 1). If the wire is not evenly
spooled, uncoil it and spool it carefully again. It is recommended to use the remote con-
