installationsinspectionandmaintenance).
•Theinstallermustcomplywiththetechnicaldataattached.
•Ensurethatallitemsareapprovedandcertiedfortheenvironmentalandinstallation
requirements.Theratinglabelmustbecheckedtoensuretheunitisbeingusedwithin
thecorrectambienttemperatureandenvironmentalconditions,andthatthepower
supplyissuitable.
•Usestainlesstoolstoavoidruststainsorpittingcorrosion.Stainlesssteelis
corrosion-resistant,butextraneousrustcanappearifthematerialishandledincorrectly.
•Equipmentmustbeinstalled≤2000mabovesealevel.
•Modicationsordesignchangestothedevicesarenotallowed.
•Safetyrulesandnationalregulationsmustbeobserved.
•Neverinstalldevicesinareasthatmayexceedtheambienttemperaturerange.
•Aggressivesubstancesmayrequireextraprotection.
•Thedevicemustbeprotectedbyadditionalmeansofprotectionifitisexposedto
excessiveexternalstress,thatisvibration,heatorimpact.
•Ifthedeviceisnotutilizedinamannerspeciedbythemanufacturer,thedevice’s
protectionmaybeimpaired.Incomingcablesmustcomplywiththenationalstandards.
Suitablycertiedcableglandsandblankingplugsmustbeused.Threadformmustbe
M25x1.5orM20x1.5,dependingonproducttype,withtolerance6g/6Haccordingto
ISO965.ThecableglandusedmustnotinvalidatetheIPratingoftheenclosureand
mustberatedfortheinstallation.
•DevicesoftypeP21mustuseCMPtypePXSS2Kcableglands.Werecommendusingthe
followingcableglands:
-ExdCableGlandM20armoredcable
-ExdCableGlandM20non-armoredcable
•Allentriesmustbepluggedwithsuitablecertiedequipment.
•Fixingbracketsmustbetighteneduponinstallation.Suitablescrewsmustbeused.See
theproduct’sdatasheetforinformationabouttheproductweight.
•ReplacementpartsmayonlybeinstalledusingcomponentpartsasspeciedbyAxis
ExAB.
•Distancesbetweentheamepathsandsunshieldandbetweentheamepathsandany
otherobstruction(suchasawalloraceiling)havebeenconsideredintheATEX/IECEx
