qualityorframeratewhentheinstantaneousbitrateiskeptbelowthespeciedtargetbitrate.Youcanchoosetoeitherprioritize
imagequalityorframerate.Werecommendthatyoucongurethetargetbitratetoahighervaluethantheexpectedbitrate.This
givesyouamarginforadditionalcomplexitythatneedstobecaptured.

storagerequiredtostorethevideostreamforaspeciedamountoftime(retentiontime)whenimagequalityisadjustedtomeetthe
speciedtargetbitrate.Specifytheaveragebitratesettingsinoneofthefollowingways:
•Tocalculatetheestimatedstorageneed,setthetargetbitrateandtheretentiontime.
•Tocalculatetheaveragebitrate,basedonavailablestorageandrequiredretentiontime,usethetargetbitratecalculator.
