isdoneunderSystemOptions>Network>SMTP(email).
EnterthehostnamesorIPaddressesandportnumbersfortheprimaryandsecondarymailserversintheeldsprovided.AFrom
emailaddressisalsorequired.Ifthemailserverrequiresauthentication,checkUseauthenticationtologintothisserverandenter
thenecessaryinformation.
SNMP
TheSimpleNetworkManagementProtocol(SNMP)allowsremotemanagementofnetworkdevices.AnSNMPcommunityisthe
groupofdevicesandmanagementstationrunningSNMP.Communitynamesareusedtoidentifygroups.
AXISVideoMIB(ManagementInformationBase)forvideohardwarecanbeusedtomonitorAxis-specic,hardware-related
issuesthatmayneedadministrativeattention.FormoreinformationaboutAXISVideoMIBandtodownloadMIBles,goto

ToenableandcongureSNMPintheAxisproduct,gototheSystemOptions>Network>SNMPpage.
Dependingonthelevelofsecurityrequired,selecttheversiononSNMPtouse.
TrapsareusedbytheAxisproducttosendmessagestoamanagementsystemonimportanteventsandstatuschanges.CheckEnable
trapsandentertheIPaddresswherethetrapmessageshouldbesentandtheTrapcommunitythatshouldreceivethemessage.
Note
IfHTTPSisenabled,SNMPv1andSNMPv2cshouldbedisabled.
TrapsforSNMPv1/v2areusedbytheAxisproducttosendmessagestoamanagementsystemonimportanteventsandstatus
changes.CheckEnabletrapsandentertheIPaddresswherethetrapmessageshouldbesentandtheTrapcommunitythat
shouldreceivethemessage.

AllAXISVideoMIBtrapsareenabledwhenSNMPv1/v2ctrapsareenabled.Itisnotpossibletoturnonoroffspecictraps.
SNMPv3providesencryptionandsecurepasswords.TousetrapswithSNMPv3,anSNMPv3managementapplicationisrequired.
TouseSNMPv3,HTTPSmustbeenabled,seeHTTPSonpage49.ToenableSNMPv3,checktheboxandprovidetheinitialuser
password.
