Install the hardware
Prepare for installation
Read all the instructions before preparing to install AXIS P5512 since several of the steps require
removing the top cover and would benefit from being completed together.
• Remove the protective packing before installing the camera (see instructions below).
• To replace the dome cover see Replace the clear/smoked dome cover (optional), on page 9.
• To remove the top cover and install an SD card see Install an SD card (optional), on page 9.
Remove the protective packaging
1. Loosen the 4 top cover screws and remove the top cover. See illustration on page 7.
2. Remove the protective packing.
3. To replace the clear/smoked dome cover or install an SD card, refer to the instructions on
page 9.
4. Put the top cover back in its original position and fasten two diagonally opposite screws first
(torque < 0.7 Nm), and then the two other screws.

IMPORTANT! - To use AXIS P5512 outdoors, it must be installed in an approved
outdoor housing. Please see www.axis.com for more information on outdoor housing.
