TheEventpagesallowyoutoconguretheAxisproducttoperformactionswhendifferenteventsoccur.Forexample,theproduct

canstartarecordingorsendanemailnoticationwhenmotionisdetected.Thesetofconditionsthatdeneshowandwhen

theactionistriggerediscalledanactionrule.

SetUpActionRules

Anactionruledenestheconditionsthatmustbemetfortheproducttoperformanaction,forexamplerecordvideoorsendan

emailnotication.Ifmultipleconditionsaredened,allofthemmustbemettotriggertheaction.

Thefollowingexampledescribeshowtosetupanactionruletorecordvideotoanetworkshareifthereismovementinthe

camera’seldofview.

Setupmotiondetectionandaddanetworkshare:

1.GotoApplicationstostartandcongureAXISVideoMotionDetection3.SeeAXISVideoMotionDetection.

2.GotoSystemOptions>Storageandsetupthenetworkshare.Seepage47.

Setuptheactionrule:

1.GotoEvents>ActionRulesandclickAdd.

2.SelectEnableruleandenteradescriptivenamefortherule.

3.SelectApplicationsfromtheTriggerdrop-downlistandthenselectVMD3

4.Optionally,selectaScheduleandAdditionalconditions.Seebelow.

5.UnderActions,selectRecordVideofromtheTypedrop-downlist.

6.SelectaStreamproleandconguretheDurationsettingsasdescribedbelow.

7.SelectNetworkSharefromtheStoragedrop-downlist.

Tousemorethanonetriggerfortheactionrule,selectAdditionalconditionsandclickAddtoaddadditionaltriggers.Whenusing

additionalconditions,allconditionsmustbemettotriggertheaction.

Topreventanactionfrombeingtriggeredrepeatedly,aWaitatleasttimecanbeset.Enterthetimeinhours,minutesandseconds,

duringwhichthetriggershouldbeignoredbeforetheactionrulecanbeactivatedagain.

TherecordingDurationofsomeactionscanbesettoincludetimeimmediatelybeforeandaftertheevent.SelectPre-triggertime

and/orPost-triggertimeandenterthenumberofseconds.WhenWhiletheruleisactiveisenabledandtheactionistriggered

againduringthepost-triggertime,therecordingtimewillbeextendedwithanotherpost-triggertimeperiod.
